The quietest and most trustworthy of companions, books are also the most approachable and knowledgeable of teachers. Reading is one of my hobbies and I have been reading since my childhood. It started when my father bought me a comic book before our train journey.
When You Read It? What Kind Of A Book Is It?
The book that I really enjoyed reading is “the diary of a young girl”. This book is written by Anne Frank. It was the time of the pandemic when everything was shut down and we were limited to our houses, that’s when I restarted my reading hobby. This book is about a young girl named Anne who journals her day-to-day life during world war 2, when she was hiding in a secret apartment which she used to call ánnex’ with her family.
What Is It About?
Anne religiously wrote in her diary for two years and considered her diary as her only true friend. She wrote many entries addressing “Dear Kitty”. She also shares her thoughts about people having fake appearances.
- This book is also a War Literature as Anne has written how brutal the Nazis were, how strict laws were implemented, and how tougher the times were but still they managed to survive in a small apartment with eight people living in it.
Explain Why You Enjoyed
- I enjoyed the book as it acts as time travel, this book made me realize how people were suffering during world war 2.
- This book helped me understand how we can live without the so-called “needed” things like smartphones and TVs. This book also proves how love, faith, and trust have victory over hatred, jealousy, and evilness.

- The book I really enjoyed reading is Ikigai, which is written by Francesc Miralles and Hector Garcia. A friend of mine recommended this book during the time when my exams were almost near and I was stressed.
- This book is about a variety of subjects relating to the art of life including the blue zones, longevity, logotherapy, flow, yoga, tai chi, and endurance. I am really glad that I read this book.
What Is It About?
- The word ïkigai means the reason to live
- This self-help book presents guidance on how to live a fulfilled and relaxed life. Each chapter is a thoroughly studied explanation of the Okinawans’ ( (the world’s longest-living community))way of life, attitude, mindset, nutrition, and daily routine. According to the authors, your Ikigai keeps your body healthy and extends your life.

- This book, in my opinion, is a great resource for pursuing a happy, long, and tranquil life.
- It encouraged me in developing a more insightful view of life and discovering my life’s higher purpose.
