Professors are ok. Howerver, most of them have Big classes, less time to answer questions and emails. Bathrooms are filthy. Elevators are out of order most of time. The service System does not run as well as other schools, specially financial aid office who misled you to take 12 selfpaid credits and admition office, where they charge you commitment fee in case you don't take class there. Disappointing experiences!!!

Please check the updated review and attached photos YORK COLLEGE IS A HORRIBLE SCHOOL- former student... IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN CONTACT WITH THE STAFF via phone, virtual hours or email. You will be given inactive emails, you will wait 45+ minutes in virtual meetings to be helped and when you call the school's number you will be sent to voicemail or the call will be disconnected when they say they are transferring your call. I attended york college for less than a semester and managed to rack up almost $4K in debt. I have financial aid to assist me however, the school has denied the funds which leaves the financial burden onto me. The women in the financial aid and bursar office are very nonchalant and rude staff. The college is adding late fees to my said total but have placed a bursar hold on my account that prevents me from paying the balance... PLEASE DO NOT ENROLL AT THIS SCHOOL!!! So after I posted this review, and the owner responded this was the private message I received. This school is a joke!

Undoubtedly, this is one of the worst CUNY schools. If you're looking to attend an institution that truly cares about its students and communicates respectfully with both current students and alumni, I would strongly advise steering clear of this school. In my experience, the lack of proper communication and the demeaning attitude from the staff towards students and alumni is a serious issue. I found navigating this school particularly difficult, alongside BCC and City College. On the other hand, schools like Lehman and SPS (two wonderful schools) have generally been much more responsive and professional—though I will note that Lehman still struggles with responsiveness in some areas. It’s clear that this school needs to make changes. Specifically, I would recommend hiring new staff for departments and positions that are clearly underperforming or lack the necessary professionalism and respect for students. Furthermore, I can confirm the issues raised by Malaysia Dazzel in her review, as I had the exact same problem. I was harassed and forced to pay a so-called "pending amount" of $2,000, despite having no clear explanation or payment plan in place. It was absolutely ridiculous how disorganized the billing process was, and the staff's attitude was shockingly unprofessional and unpleasant.

If you're seeking guidance, I highly recommend reaching out to Shehla Iftekhar. For years, I struggled to resume my education, with countless calls and emails going unanswered. However, when I connected with Shehla in 2023, everything changed. She not only called me back but also took ownership of my return as if it were her own. She guided me through every step, contacting anyone necessary—regardless of their title—to ensure everything was handled. Even now, she continues to be there for me, addressing every question and helping me overcome any roadblocks I encounter. Shehla is my advisor in Aviation. However I'm sure she can lead you to the right direction.

Lovely campus and easily seen from the street. The school is close to public transportation. The campus houses a high school and an elementary school. The grounds can use some work and some more public art installations. The cemetery is gated but plenty of history ardorns the head stones. The indoor exhibit of The Tuskegee Airmen is worth visiting the campus. The stundent art galley is the best. Ask security for accessibility for people with disabilities. Security at the gate will ask of I. D. He is very pleasant and awesome with directions. Most staff/faculty are helpful too. Better to get assistance from the more experienced staff. They are quite knowledgeable. The food is pricey for college life, but the chicken Marsalis, peas & rice, Mac & cheese and green beans with show string beans cut carrots was a tasty pleasant delight. The logistics of the buildings are identified in letter quadrants to help navigate your way through the buildings. For example 1B 106 would be on the 1st floor in the "B" section. The Art department is quite amazing.
