If you're a foreign student, don't go there. There's no guidance, no help, no opportunities. The bureaucrats want your money and they want you to fail. Don't waste your money there. Find a student friendly university with people that will work for you, not against you.

Unique university, with staff willing to go above and beyond what was needed. The tour of the campus was outstanding. The student employees and volunteers were great. I suggest going to their site and booking a tour. Maps of the campus are available online.

Campus is beautiful in the summer, but still has lots to see and enjoy all year round. Lots of green spaces and places to walk. It feels like a small campus, but keeps going as you walk around, including the ring road with access by bus or car. They even have a parking lot for Evo share cars.

I am a UVIC student other than university charging us a really high fee as I am an international student and food on campus is really expensive. Everything is really good we have good cafes to visit good places and buildings to study or relax and also an engineering lab wing lounge where you can get good and tasty snacks for a really low cost as low as $0.50

With the exception of a small collection of faculties and specialized research centres, this is not a high quality institution by North American standards. If you have a choice to go elsewhere for your education and if you value learning litself above other elements of university, I'd recommend elsewhere. If you want your post-secondary experience to be centred around certain streams of progressive activism and being part of a narrow scope of echo-chamber enforcement, you might like it. Also, the nature near the campus is nice.
