It is imperative that the university adopts a more transparent and timely approach in informing students about courses that will not be offered in the upcoming semester or academic year. Failure to disclose this information early undermines students’ ability to make informed academic and career-related decisions, particularly for those in specialised or limited-enrolment programs. As a higher education institution committed to student success and equity, the university has a responsibility to ensure that course availability aligns with the expectations set during enrolment and academic advising processes.

As a student who has studied at this university for two years, I feel that the biggest issue is the pervasive sense of arrogance on campus. This arrogance extends from classroom groups to interactions among students, as if the underlying message is: “We’re ranked 19th in the QS rankings—how could we possibly be wrong?” But in reality, there are many areas, such as the quality of teaching, that are far from satisfactory.

Honestly, the University of Sydney is hands down my favorite university. I visited the campus not long ago, and I just fell in love with the whole vibe. It’s hard to explain, but the atmosphere there is just so chill and comfortable. You don’t get that super intense or stressful feeling you might expect from a top uni. Instead, it feels open, relaxed, and kind of peaceful. The campus itself is beautiful—like seriously, those sandstone buildings mixed with all the green open spaces? It’s the kind of place where you’d actually want to hang around after classes. I saw students lying on the grass, laughing with friends, or sipping coffee at cute little campus cafés. It gave me the feeling that people there aren’t just studying—they’re actually enjoying their time. Another thing I noticed was how friendly everyone seemed. No one looked rushed or tense. The whole place just felt… welcoming, you know? Like a place where I could see myself fitting in, not just surviving academically but actually growing and being happy. So yeah, if I had to pick one university to study at, it would 100% be Sydney Uni. The atmosphere just felt right. Not too serious, not too laid-back—just a great balance.

One of the top and most prestigious universities in the world. I visited the University of Sydney on a sunny day luckily and explored their campus thoroughly. I fell in love with the Quadrangle that looks literally like the Harry Potter movies' Quadrangle. An iconic masterpiece to enjoy exploring and reading the history behind it across the building. This place is worth a visit on a sunny day for the most perfect lighting and appreciate the amazing architecture there.
