Worst college ever. I wouldn't even consider coming here. They're super disorganized, you have to pay for parking EVERYWHERE (and it's not cheap). The staff and professors I have met are not only unprofessional but they are unattentive. They will not respond to your emails for weeks or even a month sometimes and you have to find everything and do everything yourself.

I have been to a handful of universities, and UAA is by far the most disorganized and unhelpful. Staff can't help you- you're going to have to make a dozen phone calls to even begin to sort out your own financial aid or what courses you need to take for your degree. Making appointments for consultation is a waste of time because you're going to get treated like an Incel for asking the questions that you have and ultimately get nowhere by the end of it. I've never seen a college extinguish so many ambitious youths so quickly. If you're seeking for a straight forward experience look elsewhere.

If you're a working adult and want to take classes then have a look at night classes at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA). If you're out of high school and plan to live with friends or your parents then you can't beat the convenience of a local campus. Online classes aren't for everyone, so consider UAA for the traditional higher education experience. I wish the University Center was located on main campus, but space is an issue around UAA. Checkout the new buildings on campus and some of the upgrades to the older buildings. During the summer this campus looks beautiful with all the flowers. Sadly finding food on campus is nearly impossible, so bring your lunch and relax at one of the many picnic tables. If this review was helpful please click the Like button.

If you can avoid this college please do. I have attended 3 and this is by far the worst. Parking is ridiculously expensive asking like $200 and over for a parking pass. Speaking to an advisor is a joke. I kept getting passed around and then they push appointments to be a phone call. Their website is not student friendly. They changed my degree midway through adding and taking away courses so now I have pointless credits. I have heard from several people now that this is very common of UAA. Trust me there are better colleges out there. I maintained a 3.8 GPA until starting UAA. Partly on me and partly on the fact that they will throw teachers in last minute to teach a course and they admit they had to scramble the course material which usually ended up being overload for beginners classes.
