The university itself isn't incredible, but it's still decent. The main problem, however, is the accommodation. The rooms are very small for the price, and some don't even have private toilets or showers. The worst thing is the beds. As students, we have the right to expect something at least a little comfortable so that we can rest properly and study. But all you get is a spring mattress on a wooden board, accompanied by a pillow that hasn't been fed for decades. The communal areas are ageing, and the soundproofing between rooms is catastrophic.

Attended for a postgrad course from an external university as a part time student. The systems used were different to those of my previous uni but I received no support from the lecturers, even when bringing this to their attention and requesting assistance. I had 3 lectures, only one of these was actually a lecture though, the other two were just "work on your project". I decided to withdraw from the course but was hounded for a £3K repayment, this was for 2 modules (3 lectures), even though I had only been enrolled into one. It took months of stress to get this resolved with not even an apology.

The university offers excellent facilities; however, there is room for improvement in the conduct and professionalism of some faculty members.

Great place to study and perfect in every aspect of Education. Staff are great. Beautiful place. So heartwarming. Also they say that they have Dogging in main Car Park at weekends

Overall the experience at Staffs has been a positive one. Student services: A Anytime I needed something they were always there to help. Instructors: A - D It greatly depends on your program and year. Technical services: A+ This is the real backbone of the university. They’re often the only ones directly helping students with their work. It can depend on the technician but most will do any and everything possible to help. Facilities: D They seem to do the bare minimum, if that, and often leave things which should already be part of a cleaning routine out. The fabric surfaces at the uni haven’t been cleaned in decades and your body itches after sitting in many of the chairs, especially in the older buildings like Cadman, but even in the newer buildings. On top of this, maintenance is incredibly wasteful. They did some plumbing work in the room we were in once and they binned the excess copper piping - pieces of copper that were worth at least £8-£20+ each, straight into the bin. They have a metals workshop literally on campus which could recycle it or even get some money back. The university preaches sustainability, but it’s not really practiced.
