Don’t care about your education or well-being, they just want your money. Courses poorly designed and timetables created to almost ensure you fail, especially if you are a working student and you work in hospitality with unstable shift times. Resources in class are used sparingly despite students paying a tonne of money to learn, so you better get things right the first and only time! Most tutorials are not compulsory to attend, which is good if you have to work but terrible if there are group assignments (worth up to 50%!) and people don’t turn up which means you have no idea who you’re working with and if they’ll even respond to your messages or if they even communicate with you before the assignment due date. If you are looking at studying at university, just go get a job because the system is very much screwed.

I chose to do my Master’s degree at RMIT, and it has been a great experience. The university is welcoming and inclusive, with a well organized course structure and helpful academic staff. The facilities are excellent, and the student support services from both the university and student union are amazing. Overall, a stress-free and enjoyable place to study. Thanks RMIT

I have studied at RMIT for one year, specializing in community service. It has the best campus and the best teachers! I can truly say that I have really enjoyed my time at RMIT. The teachers were very helpful, friendly, and always eager to support students in their learning. They genuinely want you to succeed, and I feel fortunate to have had such great teachers at RMIT. Thanks to all the teachers for their help.

Studying under-graduate engineering and fine art here. Currently on the third year. + A very small majority of teachers do love what they teach, and they make sure people understand. + Equitable learning service team has people do care about you. Other than that? - Under-maintained facility. - Lots of teachers just don’t care about anything: “Today you should be completing xxx assignments” And then they vanish. - Lecturers and tutors completely ignore students mental well-being. - Engineering exams, people who marked your test does not even looked at your paper. You have to ask for review. -“We understand things are hard so we made them easier for you” Then continue to add a bunch of additional requirement one week!!! Before! A 5 week long assignment!!!

As an RMIT graduate, I still deeply miss the student life I had there. As an international student, I felt truly supported throughout my studies. The teachers were highly responsible, approachable, and genuinely cared about our learning outcomes. They didn’t just teach theory—they also helped us understand how to apply our knowledge in real-world situations, which made a big difference in my confidence and career preparation. The university also provided many practical resources, workshops, and industry-linked opportunities that helped me build relevant skills and connect with professionals. I really appreciated how inclusive and diverse the campus environment was—it made me feel welcome from day one. Another major advantage was RMIT’s location right in the heart of Melbourne. It was incredibly convenient for commuting, finding part-time jobs, and exploring the city after class. The blend of urban energy and academic focus made my time at RMIT both productive and memorable.
