Nice small college, you'll get your leg workout on your first day. Local small town surrounding campus. Views are amazing! Definitely visit if your considering going, was too small for my son's liking.

Hartwick college is an amazing experience. The view from your bedroom is unmatched. It’s close enough to Oneonta so you can party if you want but far enough to where you’re safe from it. The hiking trails are amazing. The nursing program is better than any other in New York and Connecticut. You can see way more stars at night than i’ve ever seen before. The professors are mostly top of the barrel. The workload for most classes is higher than other schools but that’s a good thing. You get what you pay for at college and Hartwick is certainly worth it.

Beautiful campus! Built into the hills. Unfortunately it does not seem to be even remotely wheelchair accessible.

Alumn from back in the day here, I was recently reminded of Hartwick and decided I'd leave my two cents. Basically they didn't help me out at all during my time there (07-11); there are no resources to help students with internships or job hunting, there are very few majors and minors to choose from (don't get me started on the "build your major" scam), there's really nothing going on at Hartwick or in Oneonta, the students are rude and unfriendly, the faculty and staff are largely apathetic, the tuition is ridiculous, the dorms are cramped, old and unclean and even the food sucks. But, to be fair, the campus looks pretty so I guess that makes up for everything else according to some. My advice is to stay away unless there have been some major improvements since 2011.
