If you have been to one HBCU, then you have been to them all. Teachers are fine...admin staff, financial folks, caf workers, etc, HORRIBLE. Bad attitudes, no smiles, grumpy.

The guards at the gates made our trip to explore the university kind of unwelcoming (sign of the times I guess, maybe to protect the next generation)but here's some cool statues. Hopefully one day our youth can learn in peace

Was on a parking lot only, waiting for traffic jam during airshow and lots of detours in Hampton which in combination with GPS total confusion and running in circles clockwise and anticlockwise. University parking lot offered safe and comfortable location to wait in peace until the situation cleared enough to travel back over the bridge home to Norfolk.

The Emancipation Oak is a beautiful tree. And historic. Pleasant day, ate our picnic lunch in the shade there, after visiting Old Point Comfort and Fort Monroe.
