The tour guide Ryan was remarkable. He was very informative and there was no question unturned. Definitely recommend him for any tours.

The only thing saving this place from 1 star is that the professors and classes are fabulous! They really understand, except for a select few who are dicks. The food here sucks ass and you have to get a meal plan. So I pay $2,000 for a sandwich almost every night. The dorms are never the right temperature--either boiling or freezing. My current dorm is supposed to be one of the newer ones, but I came in and paint was peeled off the walls. It looked like it was 50 years old. And this is supposed to be a drug and alcohol free campus, but the girls down my hallway are smoking this place up like weed. This entire experience was hell. The environment was so high school, and I came out with this degree that still can't land me a job. Cool. Just go to trade school or get an associates or certificate at a community college instead of coming here.

I had a mixed experience with this institution. The positives are that the professors are great, the courses are generally stimulating, the cost is lower than many other institutions and I felt that I learned a lot from the course as a whole. The big negative for me was that the administrative staff are rude, incompetent and arrogant. One of them sent me instructions for my final graduation portfolio which I followed to the letter, only to have my portfolio returned because the instructions she sent me were incorrect. There was no apology given because I "could have asked". Why on earth would I ask for clarification when the instructions given were perfectly clear? My graduation was delayed for several months due to this administrative error, and once again no apology was given. Due to this, I would not recommend the institution to other prospective students despite having had positive experiences of the classes themselves.

I attended FSU as a mass transfer student from BCC in 2012. This university was amazing. I was involved in numerous clubs and committees that set me up for success in my personal and professional life for years to come. The communications department was wonderful and full of knowledge and support. During my time at FSU, I learned so much and gained even more experience than I would have had I not attended such a wonderful institution. The cost was very reasonable compared to other state schools and the campus was beautiful. I visited recently, and although MUCH bigger, it is still a gorgeous campus full of endless possibilities.
