Very disappointed in the Occupational Therapy program at DC. Instructors taught from you-tube video feeds and did not treat students equally. Only one type of student is permitted in the program. Not ranked highly in terms of competitive programs... SHOULD NOT BE YOUR FIRST CHOICE, given the low national retention rate for completion.

Awesome school, amazing opportunities. Proud mom of a son that attends. Class of 2018. Criminal Justice Major. Small caring school, where everyone know each other and you feel comfortable that your child is safe and learning.

Where to begin... Do NOT fall for the "Actuarial Science" program listed that is advertised - you will take the exact same classes as general math majors, nor do any of the classes prepare you for the actuarial exams. Staff? Completely hit or miss. I have wonderful relationships with a handful of staff members here, but the rest of them do NOT belong there. Academics? Prepare for a high school environment where some teachers will deduct your grade for petty reasons such as not bringing a textbook to class, not providing a doctor's note if you are sick, etc. Similar to staff, about half of the teachers are amazing, while the other half simply go through the motions. Bottom line - There are plenty of other schools with a superior education at a more affordable price.

Dominican College does in fact challenge the mind and spirit. The programs available at the college are indeed challenging but, rewarding with hard work, effort and determination. They offer a wide range of community oriented services that provides aid in the community and around the world from El Salvador to France. The colleges athletics program is well established and their Athletic Training staff are superb. Dominican College has definitely succeeded with providing students college wide services. For example, career services, onsite counseling, academic success are extraordinary services that the college provides to students. Knowledge, friends, networking and lifelong skills are often fruits that may be obtained from these initiatives. Overall, this college continues to meet the student needs. Proceed with their vision to make the campus community oriented, safe and a great experience for students and families. Especially, with the implementation of the new turf field being constructed and the Hennessy center being renovated. This college is going on the right path.

Dominican College is about whats on the outside and NOT the inside. Beautiful campus with even more beautiful opportunities, presented at the door. As a student you learn not everything that glitters is gold. The overall well being of the students as far as academics is poor. Students will fail and be left alone to fail because that means they will continue to generate income for the college. Administration only looks for students when there is a bill on their account, never to actually “assist” the situation at hand. I do not speak for the colleges administration entirely because their are individuals who strive for students’ success as much as the student themselves. I do find some professors at Dominican college to be caring yet unable to help due to the colleges “rules“ and abilities to manipulate the system for financial gain. Information is kept from students to keep them from graduating at a timely manner CONSTANTLY. The professors assigned to advice their students sometimes have no idea how to ADVISE A STUDENT, therefore leaving obvious room for error. This college has mislead me multiple times with no remorse for their “mistakes”. I quote this because it almost seems planned when it resorts back to financials. I went to Dominican College seeking a specific degree and left with something completely different trying to avoid the financial strain the college itself would have caused me. I was prepared for a 4 year college nothing more, nothing less. The education that is given in Dominican College is mediocre and could be learned for a lesser price in community colleges(depending the degree type of course), where you can actually achieve what you set out to achieve. Not just the “next best option”. As a recent graduate of the school I can honestly say, they do not promote graduating at a timely manner being that it is a 4 year college. They promote staying in college as long as there is money to pay for classes to graduate. I also want to end my review by saying before attending this college , several alumni gave me this SAME ADVICE and I chose to attend anyways. I will say I do not regret the experiences and people I met during those years. I do wish I took the advice I was given as far as academics and a school which genuinely cares about their student bodies overall success.
