If I get opportunity to rename this university then I will rename it as "Spoil your future with DMU" because this university is well experienced in ruining student future . I joined this university on 2023 and from that day my life became worse because in every semester I faced problem with my marks, assignment not only this even on extra curriculum like required documents from university. The staff never reply email on time, never sent the documents on time. The worse moment was my first year at this university I.e. none of the teacher and staff took the student query seriously. Now I am emailing them to provide my completion letter but they are saying we cannot do that even my CAS letter date has passed but they are saying we will issue ASAP but don't know when. #ruin your future at DMU.

Informative open day. Superb campus. The small size cohorts of 25 to 30 students gives flexibility to meet student's needs and interests along the 'block teaching method', which basically means the students can focus on understanding each module before moving on to the next; it is good for their development and well-being. We felt there is a good balance in diversity, and the campus is all-inclusive. This uni is welcoming people from all backgrounds. Would like to study here.

Master's in Energy & Sustainable Development at DMU University: A Major Disappointment for Aspiring Corporate Sustainability Professionals I recently completed my Master's in Sustainability at DMU University with high grades, and unfortunately, I feel compelled to share a review that highlights significant shortcomings in the program's curriculum and its ability to prepare students for the realities of the corporate sustainability sector. Frankly, the course material was extremely poor and, to put it mildly, does not prepare you for a job in this particular area at all. My primary concern revolves around the glaring omission of fundamental frameworks and regulations that are absolutely critical for anyone looking to work in corporate sustainability. Throughout my entire degree, we were shockingly never taught KEY areas to sustainability. Many examples include: nothing about the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) framework, ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme), or the newly vital IFRS S1 and S2 standards from the ISSB which are just a few examples out of many. These aren't niche topics; they are foundational pillars for understanding and navigating the complexities of corporate environmental reporting, climate risk, and sustainable finance. To graduate from a Master's in Sustainability without a solid grasp of these is a severe disservice to students and a testament to the program's disconnect from industry needs. Instead of equipping us with practical knowledge vital for a competitive job market, the curriculum often veered into irrelevant or excessively granular topics. For instance, I recall lessons that dedicated time to explaining the mechanics of different valves on radiators. While understanding the basics of energy efficiency is certainly part of sustainability, this level of detail on a specific piece of plumbing, at the expense of comprehensive coverage of global reporting standards and strategic frameworks, suggests a profound lack of understanding on the part of the faculty regarding what truly constitutes "corporate sustainability" in the modern professional landscape. It genuinely feels as though the program leaders don't have a clue about what they are doing in terms of preparing students for real-world roles. For any prospective student considering this Master's in Sustainability at DMU, I urge you to seriously reconsider if your ambition is to work in corporate sustainability, ESG, or related fields that require knowledge of current reporting, risk management, and regulatory frameworks. The program, as it stands, is woefully inadequate and will leave you feeling underprepared and ultimately disadvantaged when applying for jobs in this specialized and rapidly evolving sector. There is a vast chasm between what is taught and what is truly needed in the professional world and is too much money and time for this lack of education at MSc level.

Well laid out Campus with interesting architecture. Huge range of courses. Some building entrances not very clear. We visited an Open Day for Performing arts courses and found the information and practice session particularly good. Other guides and tours also very interesting and informative. Got a really good feel for how life in the university is at DMU. Definitely worth serious consideration for prospective students.
