One of the greatest education institute. So much you can learn. Great atmosphere, friendly administration.

I applied for a master degree in winter semester 2019. The woman who proved my application made a mistake and asked me to send a document that I already sent. I wrote an E-mail. No answer. I then traveled from Karlsruhe to Darmstadt to directly ask her about my application. Firstly, the working student at the information center carelessly told me that the woman who proves my application did not work on that day. I didn't believe him because I had checked her working time on the uni's website before I came, so I went to her room, and there she was! So I went back to him and told him that I saw her there working in her room, and he just gave me a visitor card without any apology. Then I went to speak to her about my application. She seemed bored and annoyed and didn't even try to listen to me. It felt as if I was bothering her! She just rudely cut me off while I was explaining my case and gave me false information. I was shocked and angry with that behaviour. I had never been this angry in many years already! The woman told me I need to send my grade overview that has a stamp from my university and that she won't accept the grade overview that I printed from my bachelor uni's website. So I came back to my bachelor university, which was KIT Karlsruhe, to ask for a stamped grade overview, but the worker informed me that they don't do that anymore and "the printed version should be accepted everywhere and if TU Darmstadt has a problem with that, they should come and talk to us" (her words). At that point, I could not be bothered with TU Darmstadt anymore, so I just abandoned my application. A week later, the woman from TU Darmstadt e-mailed me to tell me that my documents were corrected and I was accepted to TU Darmstadt, but it was too little too late! because after all the horrible experiences I had with TU Darmstadt, I had already decided to go to RWTH Aachen for my master. I have been at RWTH Aachen for a year already and am very happy with my decision! It doesn't look good for the university, if the persons who are supposed to take new students in, drive the students away instead.

Great university, noble professors, amazing atmosphere. One of the best universities not only in Germany but all over the world.

avoid this university and germany itself if you want to be mentally sane. the criticism i have about this place is the same as other german unis meaning professors just read off of slides, they dont help you etc.. whats worse about this uni is that they dont even encourage you. literally the first week was about how we will all fail and theres no point of even trying. I thought its bs at first but after exams, man was i wrong. over 40% failure rate and most just dropped out. It sucks putting in 6 months of hard work just to get failed by a system that wants you to fail. There are other universities that offer more flexible and less theoretical programs.

One of the best university in the world I am pursuing my M.Sc from TUDa and I found study is not that easy but teaching method & Professors are awesome. I highly recommend if anyone wants to study in TU Darmstadt.
