HIGHLY RECOMMENDED UNIVERSITY. Coppin State University stands the test of the citadel of academic excellence. All my professors were PhD holder. The professors are experienced, knowledgeable, and very approachable. The students teacher ratio is very impressive. Magnificent campus and numerous computer labs. Graduated with a bachelor's degree.

possibly overshadowed by other HBCUs, COPPIN is a key part of the rich black history that is Baltimore. If we invest in it, it will be a part of the city’s rich future. I dropped by to find ~10 students playing tennis the bookstore was nice the newer buildings with the fancy bridge show well

A SCAM!!!!! If I could give it 0 stars I would, Coppin is a horrible HBCU, when I went there for nursing majority of classes were taken up so repeatedly my nursing advisors told me to take additional courses to keep financial aid, when it was finally time to apply for the nursing program they say you cannot be accepted into the nursing program as a junior although it was their advisement that made me a junior. They need to be investigated by the department of education for this little scam they are running.

I was very disappointed with my recent experience at Coppin State University during my interaction with the RN to BSN advisor, Mr. Darryl Boyd. After calling his office, I was told to reach out via email instead. I followed his instructions and scheduled a video call, expecting to receive helpful information about the program. Unfortunately, the call lasted barely 5 minutes out of the 30-minute appointment I had booked, and the interaction was extremely unprofessional. Mr. Boyd was dismissive and rude throughout the meeting. What concerned me most was his inaccurate statement that my multistate RN license would not be valid in Maryland, even though Maryland is part of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). When I tried to clarify, he interrupted me and said, “Sweetheart, you are not understanding,” which I found inappropriate and condescending. His tone and attitude made me feel disrespected and unwelcome, especially as an international student. I was hoping to learn more about the program, but instead, I left the meeting feeling unheard and disregarded. Based on this interaction, I no longer feel comfortable applying to Coppin State University. I hope the administration takes this feedback seriously, as no student should be treated this way.
