The campus is like the campus in the movies. It feels like college. My experience as a csu student w/the white maintenance trucks and campus police following me to/from classes was bothering. It's if a call was made that Tracey is a bad person and to watch Tracey as if I am going to do something besides earn a education. Not to mention the student that elbowed me in the head trying to make their way to a empty seat near me. This experience along with the $2k traffic violations city Chicago clerk has penalized me with has halted my education. #ClassOf2025

I love Chicago State. Just to be fair, you should know that I teach there. We have had a corrupt administration, but things are looking better. Our current Acting President is wonderful and has worked hard to improve the services and atmosphere on campus. I've always been proud to teach at CSU. I've been around long enough to see our alumni become successful professionals. According to the New York Times, CSU is in the top 10% of universities in the country for increasing the income of alumni over that of their parents.

With all the reviews and all the history of being a very poor hbcu, why would anyone go here? Tons of city colleges are way better than tons of universities just as easy to get into as here but better run and reputation. Why would anyone go here? Look at their endowment...that alone tells you it's a horrible school with disconnect alumni...

We had a fantastic time today photographing the Chicago State University Child Care Program for their graduation and pre-K class—and we’re still smiling from all the joy and pride we witnessed! I attended CSU for two semesters one of the worst experiences in my educational career. The Staff are very rude. It took four months for my credits to be processed. The curriculum is underwhelming. Campus life is very dry. Oh and there is no on campus book store.
