We recently attended the parasport games at Brock University. We stayed in residence. We had an accessible room. The bathroom was good. Lots of grab bars and a PT rail. However that being said our room was 16°. The law in Ontario is that a dwelling or residence be maintained at 20°. We notified the front desk and they said the A/C comes on automatically when it’s hot and yesterday was 22°. Only that makes no sense because last night the temp was fine. My athlete has CP and is currently in a lot of physical pain because it’s so cold all her muscles are in spasm. Not cool and illegal. Don’t stay here, spring for a real hotel.

I am a former student trying to complete my bachelors after some time away. I have now been trying for five months to get answers to what should be simple questions for a university. Emails take three weeks to be returned and virtual appointments are nearly impossible to book. Every person I have spoken to has given me a different answer and redirected me somewhere else. This is not only frustrating but is also highly unprofessional. I am at my wit's end and going to pull my records and go to another university.

In my first year here right now and honestly I'm liking it quite a bit! I know the campus from childhood but even if I didnt, most of it is very easy and straightforward. Professors are very nice and organized, and has a wide range of classes available. Only issue is that parking is 4 dollars an hour if you do not get a parking permit which is even more expensive than Toronto. Overall excited to spend my next 4 years here!

Brock University is a top ranked post secondary institution in Southern Ontario, known for its co-operative education, research facilities and a variety of health services. Brock is a small local college with no football program but it has competitive programs in wrestling, basketball and hockey. It is also the only Canadian University in a UNESCO Biosphere so they have several courses that work hand in hand with this designation.
