As a 1960 graduate of Beaver College, I am an ardent supporter of Arcadia. I was an alumna Trustee when the school changed its name from Beaver to Arcadia. I am happy to talk with anyone interested in the history of the school!

Went here for a semester. Terrible. Heinz hall has multiple bug problems and they even say the bathrooms are hardly cleaned, and my professors all taught on powerpoints. My academic advisor never gave me advice and said maybe i didn't like small towns when i considered leaving. They really don't have many activities that aren't the same things over and over again and you can hardly get anywhere without a car.

Don’t waste your money here. Only the orientation leaders are happy most people aren’t the friendliest. Also, my dorm had a bug problem and other issues. Dorms are dirty and my air conditioning didn’t work and my window wouldn’t open, once it was basically pried open the screen fell out. and the quality of education is not good. Most of the teachers teach straight off of powerpoints. For a private school the money you will spend is not worth it. The food is awful and the chat has the same stuff over and over. The activities are all the same and get boring very fast. If you can’t get your car on campus hope you have money for Uber because there’s nothing to do. The on campus jobs hardly get back to you too. Once I was open about dropping out, even people I hardly knew came to me and said they were thinking of leaving or transferring because it’s not fun or worth the private school money you’re paying

Absolute scam, I don't say that as an exaggeration. $50,000 a year is actually unfathomably high and makes it one of the highest in COUNTRY for subpar education. Don't let them mislead you with scholarships. This is not a University or College, you are paying for your degree and subpar education irrelevant to your career with unenthusiastic lecturers and surface level education. They push hard for you to drag out your education with 'mandatory classes' spread out to 4 maybe 5 years to get every dime of you. Worse yet, I have no clue where this money is going, there's hardly any faculties and the ones that there are are such poor quality. For instance, Heinz Hall (where i stayed) had prison showers where they cutely suggest you bring SHOWER SHOES to like that's normal. They were filthy, hair and food everywhere. Even condoms, food on the floor and sink and the toilets were frequently clogged. Perhaps most shockingly, THERES NO KITCHEN (not even communal), you're only sources of food around are a gas station, a diner, and the chat and dining hall (which wasn't open half the time). I spent nights hungry as a result. Ironically, there's a Walmart physically not far but there's an impassible highway in the way meaning groceries were completely unobtainable. Save your money and your sanity, do not study at Arcadia, there are a variety of better colleges within the area for a fraction of the price.

Faculty and students were unprofessional and very rude. I wouldn't recommend this university. Never have I been treated this horribly before. The harassment and bullying was uncalled for and unacceptable.

I have spent 4 years at this great institution and I plan to stay for a further 3 years in pursuing my DPT degree. Many complain of a lack of activities and in my opinion it's due to the lack of effort many put into finding things to do. I have found it incredibly easy to have fun while enjoying the peacefulness of avoiding inner city sound pollution. If you are pursuing a degree in any biological studies and want close personal interaction with professors, this is the place to be. This university has opened many doors for me and I am grateful. I will be honest in saying that it needs a tune up in some categories, student affairs I'm staring at you, but it succeeds in preparing you for the real world. Finally, if you want to see the world, there is no better place. I have been to London and the Virgin Islands for study abroad and have had many friends that have explored nearly every corner of the world. This is my humble opinion, if you don't agree, then you didn't take advantage of this school. Hail, Arcadia! Hail! We say! I hope this helps.
