I will be as blunt and honest as possible. The business office/financial aid office has absolutely the worse kind of people. The women in this office are super rude to you and even when they make mistakes on their end regarding payments...they still don't apologize!! They make you feel like a criminal standing in there being accused of not paying, when payments are made in advance! Oh and when they are proven wrong...all they have to say is, oh this is taken care of now..TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. You would think with the amount of money they make on students tuitions that they would get their business office together. Just get it together Alverno..your students are not your enemies. In fact, your students are why you even exist. Also they don't transfer credits, so you are either there until you graduate or just threw away a boat load of money.

DO NOT GO HERE. Being sued for $12,000 because I didn't drop 1 class that I never recall signing up for. The semester was being paid for through financial aid but Alverno had to give it back because I dropped all but the one class (?). So now I am supposed to pay $12,000 that was covered under financial aid? I also offered to pay a few grand in cash to the fin aid department there. I only had one semester left before graduating. My grandmother was one of the first women to graduate from their nursing program back in the 50s and my mother was an adjunct. Im upset and disgusted.

Don't waste your time here. Their nursing program is a joke. Half the time you are teaching yourself yet paying thousands of dollars. The professors make up their own rules as they please and don't follow their own syllabus. They are constantly changing their rules and criteria, they will not tell you the changes until you meet with your advisor about something. Nothing transfers to other schools so be sure you are going to finish here if you plan on attending. I would never recommend this school to anyone. They don't value you as a student. They screw you over. Definitely look elsewhere!!! Don't waste your money or time. I've done enough of that for all of us.

1 start too much for them. Worse college ever! Especially the DEMSN program they are liars. They also treat you like your stupid when you are simply experiencing hardships in life, but if the teacher or Dean have something in their life our grades, assigments, and class all the sufren dont matter. The people here almost made me loose hope in healthcare staff. Which is so dissappointing. One of the teacher in master's class literally was making fun of the older patients private parts. Which is disgusting imagine that type of person being your parents or your nurse. There is so so so much more. But also lots of HIDDEN fees. I would not wish this school upon my worst enemy. It has rotten souls leaving the demsn program.

Stay away from this school, especially their graduate nursing programs. They don't help you find a preceptor leave you hanging to dry. Then it's on you to find preceptor like its so easy. Many of the instructors also suck. Stay away!
