My granddaughter has just started her freshman year. So far it was nice and everyone seems friendly.

I went to Albright College for two years before transferring out. I was from New Hampshire so completely out of state, and only saw the college a couple of times before going. Honestly the tour I received made me feel so comfortable with the atmosphere there, everyone was so nice. As soon as I got to the College in the fall of 2015 it wasn't at all what I expected. The public safety facilities didn't do a proper job, my roommate's car tires were stolen while she was parked on campus and the security cameras were so outdated that they said they couldn't do anything about it or pay for it in anyway. There was never much to do on campus, I basically went from my dorm to classes even though I was a part of 4 academic clubs. When I decided to transfer out of the College, I was promised an exit interview with the Dean of Students. However, since the transferring rate was relatively high after spring 2017, the Dean decided to make the exit interview an online survey with only multiple choice questions and statements of why you were leaving Albright. I felt that my voice was diminished at that moment because I had a list of negatives that needed to be fixed in order for the school to be a proper College education and environment. The only thing that made my Albright experience worth it was the friends I made, they are truly amazing and I do miss them. I hope Albright is treating them better than it treated me, because they deserve the world. Unfortunately for me, the education was not worth $53,000 a year.

I never attended this school but Albright College is a wonderful place to visit to see the art gallery, a movie, a concert, or a sporting event. Update: 25 January 2018: Attended opening reception and lecture at the Freeman Gallery and Klein Lecture Hall. Always first class. This gallery is a gem in Berks County

As a 2020 alum who loved their four years at Albright College, I feel obligated to give reasonable notice to high schoolers considering where to pursue their education. While I loved all my professors as both people and educators, it is hard to ignore the uncertainties surrounding the College's financial situation, especially their inability to rebuild the library despite having over five years to do so. Although it's comparing apples to oranges, they managed to build new student housing without any issues. Given the recently announced downsizing, deteriorating facilities, and limited funding for certain degrees and sports, I believe that Albright College doesn't have much time left. I am concerned that anyone starting their educational journey here over the next six years might not be able to finish.

This is a nice campus - easy location to get to. The nearby CVS and wawa are convenient. The locations of each build came up easily on maps for me. My kid was here for a summer program. No one attended the school, so I'm unsure about student life. Some buildings had no AC, and in others, it was still hot even with it on.. but it was also 99 degrees, so it is what it is!
