University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship

The University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship is given to fresh international students who are of high quality, with the purpose to motivate them for enrolling in undergraduate and postgraduate studies at this university. The scholarship accepts applications twice per year from all students who meet its requirements.

The benefits of the University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship are:

1. Available to all international students, excluding those who are citizens, permanent residents or have a resident visa for New Zealand or Australia.

2. The number of scholarships given every six months is up to 50, which depends on whether the student starts their studies in Semester 1 or Semester 2.

3. Scholarship is valued at up to 10,000 NZD for postgraduate and undergraduate study.

4. Payments from the Scholarship, if they are used for the payments of costs linked to an awardee's program of study, will still be free of tax.

• Starting your studies: You must be commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program at the University of Auckland.

• Admission status: There are three ways you can qualify:

• You're a new, full-fee paying international student with an unconditional offer.

• You're an English Language Academy (ELA) student with a conditional offer.

• You're enrolled in a PGDip, Master's (taught) program (120 points or more), or an undergraduate degree with overseas secondary/post-secondary qualifications.

• Academic record: You need a minimum GPA of 6.0.

• On-campus study: You must be enrolled as an "on-campus" student.

• English language proficiency: You'll need to meet the university's minimum English language requirements (details not included here).

Selection Process
