Chemistry
Specialization
Chemistry courses explore matter, including its constitution, characteristics, and reaction with other elements. The fundamental ideas taught in chemistry classes form the basis of matter, including atoms, molecules, compounds, and the units of measurement for matter. Candidates can choose from various course levels, including undergraduate, graduate, PhD, diploma, and certificate programs in Chemistry.
Scope & Opportunities
Candidates must have passed Class 12 in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from an accredited board with a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible for Chemistry courses. The typical course cost for Chemistry is between INR 432 and INR 20 Lakh. The Class 12 results are used to determine admission to Chemistry courses. However, some entrance exam scores—such as those from the CUET, CPGET, CUET PG, IIT JAM, GPAT, URAT PG, ICAR AIEEA, etc.—are acceptable for admission to Chemistry courses.
After graduation from chemistry studies, individuals may pursue careers as forensic scientists, nanotechnologists, research scientists, pharmacologists, etc. Graduates of Chemistry programs typically make between INR 2.6 and INR 15.8 lakh per annum.
