Question 3: This question of the speaking TOEFL section opens the integrated section of the exam. It requires you to read a short passage (45 seconds) and then engage in a conversation about the reading topic. A man and a woman will discuss a university-related topic covered in the reading.

• One speaker will have a strong opinion on the given topic. You are expected to justify your opinion and provide any supporting information.  For this question, a preparation time of 30 seconds and 60 seconds for response is allotted.

Note – One’s personal opinion is not required for such a question.

Question 4: This TOEFL speaking section question is similar to Question 3 of the TOEFL Speaking section. However, this question type will present a 45-second reading passage on an academic topic, followed by a lecture on the same subject.

• This question can feel more difficult because the material is denser. Furthermore, science-related topics are relatively easy to summarise in a short period. 
• One must summarise the lecture while emphasising a specific process or question.

Question 5: This speaking TOEFL section question has a more extended conversation than Question 3 and requires you to summarise the essential information. 

This question type allows you 20 seconds to prepare your response and 60 seconds to speak. 

• It will be more complex than Question 3 because it requires a response based on one’s opinion. 

Note: This question consists solely of listening and speaking, with no reading component.

• Answer questions thoroughly: One should be clear and specific when communicating ideas. In addition, one must ensure that each concept is clear and that one can easily answer the type of questions.
• Put good words first: the transition words are essential for effective communication. At the same time, A confident and clear delivery is necessary with natural grammar instead of fixed or scripted words. These things will make you sound like a native speaker.
