Swami Vivekananda Scholarship Eligibility for Different Courses:
The eligibility criteria for various courses under the SVMCM scholarship 2025-2026, offered by the Higher Education Department of West Bengal are as follows:
HS Level:
- Family Income of the recipient should not exceed Rs 2,50,000/- (Two Lakhs Fifty Thousand) per annum.
- Minimum marks of 60% in aggregate in Madhyamik Pariksha
- Total Marks obtained in Madhyamik Pariksha (excluding pass marks in additional subjects, if any) will be the sole criterion.
- Only candidates from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
Diploma Courses (Polytechnic) Level:
- Enrolled after Secondary (M.P.) Examination or its equivalent for first-year Diploma (Polytechnic) courses.
- Minimum 60% marks in qualifying examinations (excluding optional elective subjects, if any)
- Courses must be approved by AICTE?PCI/CoA and affiliated to WBSCT&VE&SD.
UG College Level:
- Minimum qualifying marks оf 60% іn aggregate іn the H.S. Examination conducted by the W.B. Council оf H.S. Education/Madrasha Siksha Parishad.
- Separate merit lists for UG (Arts), UG (Commerce), and UG (Science) courses.
PG University Level:
- Graduates securing at least 53% marks in the Honours subject at the graduation level.
- Marks obtained іn Honours subjects will be the sole academic criterion for awarding scholarships.
- No need for an Income Certificate and Income Affidavit for Kanyashree students applying for K-3 scholarship.
Research Level:
- Full-time M.Phil. оr Ph.D. research scholars, non-NET candidates, and NET-LS candidates are eligible.
- Registration as оf 01/04/2017 оr later, up tо the day оf dissertation submission (subject tо time limits).
- NET-LS scholars must inform the University authorities upon appointment as teachers.
