What’s new in CBSE Exam Result 2025?

  1. Relative Grading Introduced

Instead of rigid cut-off-based grading, CBSE has shifted to peer-based evaluation. This is meant to reduce pressure – but it also means that students are now competing against each other, not just a percentage.

  1. No More Toppers List

For the second consecutive year, CBSE did not publish any “All-India Toppers List”. This move is designed to shift focus away from unhealthy competition,

  1. Improvement Exam in July

Students can reappear for one subject in July 2025 if they wish to improve their scores, reducing the stress of long waits for another attempt.

But even with all of the changes like relative grading and digital scorecards, the core pressure has not changed. It has merely shifted.

Because behind every new reform, the same old question haunts students

“Did I score enough?”

When 95% is not enough – And 59% feels like the End

This year, 1.11 lakh students scored above 90% and nearly 25,000 crossed the 95% mark in CBSE exam result 2025 Class 12. In any other country, that would be front-page worthy.

In India, it is just……average.

Why? Because the competition is relentless.

Brutal Truth of Indian Cut-Offs

Even with 95%, you might not make it to Delhi University’s top courses

BSc (Hons) Computer ScienceHindu / Hansraj98.5% – 99.8%
BA English (Hons)LSR / Miranda98% – 99.5%
