UK’s University of Bristol to Open Campus in Mumbai

UGC approves the University of Bristol to establish an international campus in India by the summer of 2026, which will be the first international campus of the university.

The city of Mumbai with its hub in the world of technology, innovation, and arts provides the city to be the prefect spot to house the new Bristol campus at a location close to central Mumbai.

The LoI was handed to Vice Chancellor Professor Evelyn Welch by UGC Acting Chairman Vineet Joshi in the celebrations of NEP 2020.

The Mumbai campus of Bristol is a major milestone in the 150-year history of the institution and a major move towards its global university to the top 50 aspirations.

The first will be data science, economics, finance immersives arts, and fintech, followed by AI and management.

Scholarships will be provided in the new campus and the Indian students will have access to the world and the world class education opportunities.

The University of Bristol provides the best of global academics to India and was ranked 51st according to QS World University Rankings 2026.

According to the new regulations of the UGC, Western Sydney, Victoria and La Trobe will inaugurate campuses in Greater Noida and Bengaluru.

The 2023 guidelines issued by UGC to foreign universities will provide a similar level of learning to the students on an international level but without going abroad.
